moving a vhd from one VS to another

Is there a trick to moving a vhd from one Virtual Server to another?

I have created a second hard disk for data for my Virtual Server VS1.
It contains a large SQL database. It's 60 gig.

Instead of recreating it for another Virtual Server VS2, I'd like to
edit config of VS1 and remove the vhd, and edit config of VS2 and add
the vhd.

I tried that, but the hard disk does not show up in Windows Explorer of
VS2. However, it does shows up in Computer Management as unallocated.
Where's the data?

In fact, I was sure I had done it before.

I think my server VS1 may be corrupt. I may have created that server on
an Intel machine and copied the vmc and vhd to an AMD machine.

That's the only thing I can think of that may be causing the problem.

I don't have undo disks enabled.
