Backin up guest VM off Hyper-V Server

Hi All

I'm running a Hyper-V Server 2008 (Free version) and have one Windows server
2003 guest running on it at the min. I'm using Windows 7 (VPC) with the
Hyper-V Manager MMC to manage the guest.

Just wondering what's the most complete way of backing up the guest OS given
the above config? I'm not worried about the Hyper-V server, if anything
happens that it can be easilly setup again. My concern is that any backup
we take of the guest OS will allow a full restore of the entire VM should we
need it.

I've found the MS document on backing up virtual server but that seems to
assume your running full Windows server 2008 with the Hyper-V role and in
that situation I assume you can run backup software on the host OS?

Thanks for any info you can provide.
gR
