Do I need Integration Services to get drivers?

Our lab consists of a 2008 with Hyper-V and a Server 2000 on a child
partition. Per MS arctlce http://support.microsoft.com/kb/959781 I can not
have Integration Services and the WMI service enabled. Also, I have a
problem that a lot of my other services won't start when I have Integration
Services installed and Windows Management Instrumentation Driver Extensions
services started. I have to disabled this service, restart and then set it
back to manual and start. The only reason why I installed Integration
Services is to get the drivers for my NIC and VGA via VMGuest.iso. The NICs
don't even show up in the DM unless I install the Integration Serice. Is
there another way to install these drivers without using this method?
