Why does hvboot.sys still start if hypervisorlaunchtyp is off?

I wonder, what exactly happens if I create a bcdedit-entry
"hypervisorlaunchtyp off"?

I noticed that "hvboot.sys" runs still (booting with hv off) and
prevents me e.g. from hibernating on my test-notebook.

So what is the difference beetween:

Method a)
bcdedit /set {} hypervisorlaunchtype auto

Methos b)
reg add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\hvboot /f /v Start /t
REG_DWORD /d 00000003

Method b prevents the HV from starting too and allows hibernating.
