I have couple of questions regarding IDE/SCSI controllers assigments in
Hyper-V, first of all I did not build VM from ground up in hyper-v instead I
moved one from VS 2005, so here it is:
C drive is assigned to IDE Controller 0 - Location: 0(in use)
D drive (DVD) to Controller 1 - location 0(in use)

since I did not build it up directly on Hyper-V server is this correct or
looks suspecious?

I also needed to add additional disk space so I created additional drive (F)
and this time I used SCSI Controller - Location 2(in use)

from what I'm reading there is no difference as far as performance goes
regardless if IDE or SCSI is used please correct me if I'm wrong since it is
all about underlying hardware, what I noticed though is that if I create this
second disk in Windows Disk Management as dynamic disk everytime I reboot it
disapears from explorer and shows offline, any idea why?

second question not so critical since performance should be same (IDE vs
SCSI controller used in gest) but is there a way do change controller
association aftern disk is created on boot partition? I tried and on boot got
"boot not found"

Location is per controller, not overall.

You can't make SCSI the boot disk, so far as I know. The boot disk will
always be IDE.

OS which CPU (if mulpiple phisical installed) to use? and are there any
issues with setting up VM guest OS to use multiple CPUs? I know from my
vmware experiance it was not recomended to use multiple CPUs as performance
was degregated, short of long is that in vmware when guest OS was set to use
2 CPUs they both had to be free otherwise guest OS had to wait because could
not utilize single proc if was set to use 2, and you were getting worst
performance of guest running 2 CPUs then another guest on the same host with
1 CPU

No way to select a specific processor - and really no need to do so.
Hyper-V manages the virtual processors assigned to a VM and allows you to
configure resource allocation / control options (should you choose). Here's
a snippet from the CHM...

Resource controls provide you with several ways to control the way that
Hyper-V allocates resources to virtual machines. Following is a brief
description of each control. For more information about using the controls,
see the Hyper-V operations content at the Windows Server 2008 TechCenter
(http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=108561).

Virtual machine reserve. Of the total resources available to a virtual
machine, specifies the percentage that is reserved for the virtual machine.
This setting guarantees that the percentage you specify will be available to
the virtual machine. This setting can also affect how many virtual machines
you can run at one time.

Virtual machine limit. Of the total resources available to a virtual
machine, specifies the maximum percentage that can be used by the virtual
machine. This setting applies regardless of whether other virtual machines
are running.

Relative weight. Specifies how Hyper-V allocates resources to this virtual
machine when more than one virtual machine is running and the virtual
machines compete for resources.

If the guest operating system is Windows ServerÂ® 2008 or the 32-bit version
of Windows Server 2003, you can configure virtual processors based on the
number of processors on the physical computer. For more information about
determining the appropriate memory and processors for the guest operating
system that will run on the virtual machine, see the deployment content for
Hyper-Vâ„¢ at the Windows Server 2008 TechCenter
(http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=108560).

Note:
If the physical computer has multiple processors and uses non-uniform memory
architecture (NUMA), we recommend that you do not assign more processors or
memory to a virtual machine than are available on a single NUMA node. For
example, do not assign 4 processors to a virtual machine if each NUMA node
has only 2 processors. For more information about the processor architecture
of the physical computer, see the documentation that came with the computer.
