I created a virtual server machine. I then tried to install Windows Server 2008. I get as far as
the prompt to supply a password Administrator account. No matter what I supply it keeps telling me
"Unable to update the password. The value provided for the new password does not meet the length,
complexity, or histogram requirejents of the domain.

Please note that this is a test machine so I really don't care how strong the password iss. Any
suggestions on how to bypass this security "check" would be appreciated.

Unfortunatley (or fortunatley depending on your viewpoint) Microsoft made
the default password requirements complex.

When this policy setting is enabled, users must create strong passwords to
meet the following minimum requirements:

Passwords cannot contain the userâ€™s account name or parts of the userâ€™s full
name that exceed two consecutive characters.
Passwords must be at least six characters in length.
Passwords must contain characters from three of the following four
categories:
English uppercase characters (A through Z).
English lowercase characters (a through z).
Base 10 digits (0 through 9).
Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %).

So either disable to policy or use soemthing like "P4ssword99()" which would
certainly meet requirements but tricky to remember if you are only testing
and don't require security.
