Hyper-V - Backup Exec VSS Warning

Source: microsoft.public.virtualserver
Sent: 09/23/2008
From: Thomas Swafford
Message:

I migrated a VM running Winsows 2008 32bit from Vitual Server 2005 SP1 to
Hyper-V. I performed the uninstall of VMadditions successfully. When
backing up the system using Backup Exec I get the following errors in the
backup exec log. According to Symantec, these error are generated from VSS,
not backup exec.

Snapshot warning. File c:\windows\system32\drivers\msvmscsi.sys is not
present on the snapshot.

VSS Snapshot warning. File c:\windows\system32\drivers\vpc-s3.sys is not
present on the snapshot.

VSS Snapshot warning. File c:\windows\inf\oem2.inf is not present on the
snapshot.

VSS Snapshot warning. File c:\windows\system32\vpc-s3.dll is not present on
the snapshot.

I have remove the three driver entries from the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\PnpLockdownFiles but this has not resolved the issue.
