Hi,

My company give me the mission of create a LiveCD to give the
possibility to the public to test our security appliance based in Red
Hat. The objective is limited the use of that CD for 90 days.

Q. Is possible to convert the appliance to a VM and with VM player is
all will need to put this LiveCD working?

Q. If i use one ACE server and is mandatory to connect to this ACE to
run this LiveCD is possible to limited to 90 days this LiveCD?

Q. If i use ACE server I only have to buy one server? Our I need one
license for any LiveCD that I sent?

Any experience in this area, another suggestion are appreciate!

Sorry about all this questions, but I´m a novice in VM/ACE/LiveCD .

So, you have an application that your company developed to run in Linux,
that you'd like to install in a virtual machine (VM) and then have this VM
run on a LiveCD. Take a look at Knoppix, which is essentially a Linux
LiveCD. Modify it to run your application from there. As far as putting an
experation date on the CD I have no idea if that would be possible or not,
maybe some boot code could be written.

Being a novice to the world of Virtualization you are a bit confused on the
different products. The Microsoft products don't have a VM Player, that is
part of the VMWare suite of products. To run a Microsoft VM you need to run
either Virtual PC or Virtual Server.

Lastly, consider your licensing issues when you look to distribute LiveCDs,
it can be pretty expensive, and if by chance you were running a windows VM
on the disk you'd need to license each VM created.
