Guests losing network inconsistently

Source: microsoft.public.virtualserver
Sent: 08/12/2008
From: Graham M
Message:

I have Windows 2003 R2 SP1 Enterprise Ed, DELL PE6850 with MS Virtual Server
2005 R2 SP1 2 NICs, one dedicated to the host and another dedicated to the
guests. On the NIC for the guests I have disabled Client for MS Networks,
FPS and TCP/IP to resolve some performance issues. Which it did and worked
for about 3 weeks.

Now after a few hours of inactivity two of my guests lose network
connectivity. Usually logging in will kick them back, no reboot is actually
required. another interesting point is both have SQL, one 2000 Enterprise,
the other 2005 Express.

I have also tried to disabled TOE (refer to support.microsoft.com/kb/888750,
method #3)

Any thoughts of what I can try next??

Banging my head against the wall,
Graham M
