As I can't run VS on my main server (separate post), I thought I'd run it on
my WHS machine.

On the VS website I get:
"LsaLogonUser() failed! The name provided is not a properly formed account
name."

There are no reported errors in the Event Log.

I'm presuming this is because it's running in a workgroup rather than a
Domain. Is there any way to make it work? All useful advice appreciated,
thanks.

OK, sorted this one now.

The resolution, deduced from some other posts and digging around was:

1 Open IIS
2 Drill down to Application Pools > Virtual Server
3 Right-click this VS and choose Properties
4 From the Identity tab, choose Configurable and enter a valid
WORKGROUP\User and password *
5 Stop and restart the website

* None of the Predefined roles worked for me on WHS.
