Network Isolation and ICS DHCP

I am trying to configure an isolated network using the Microsoft Loopback
adapter and Virtual Server 2005 R2. It all seems to work fine, but I would
like to be able to have the Loopback adapter perform NAT without also acting
as the DHCP Server.

Is this possible? Do I have to use RRAS on a VM Server to perform this sort
of operation? Is there an easier way to have an isolated network that can
host its own DHCP?

If the host is a server OS you can run RRAS on that rather than ICS. If
the host is running a Windows client OS you would need to run third party
NAT software.

You can certainly run RRAS in a vm to do NAT for an internal network
(and you don't need a loopback adapter that way). You put your vms on an
internal virtual network and route them through a vm with two NICs - one in
the internal network and one linked to the physical NIC of the host.
