Install Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1 over RDP

Message:

We installed Virtual Server 2005 R2 over RDP to a remote box and when i
copied over the VHD files it was in a saved state. When i tried to run
Virtual Server it notified me that it needed to be upgraded to Virtual Server
2005 R2 SP1 in order to resume that saved state mode. I then started the
install and during the install it prompted me to stop Virtual Server services
before the installation was complete, which I did. And then rite before it
completed the install I lost Network connect to it. I then needed to contact
a tech to reboot the machine at your datacenter in order to RDP back onto the
box. I then noticed that the installation of Virtual Server is corrupted. I
want to make sure if i reinstall it this loss of network connection doesn't
happen again? Or possible what is another option?
