Virtual Machines can"t see the Network

Message:

We have A Dell 2950 Quad Proc with 32GB Ram on it that runs Virtual Server R2
Ent Edition SP1. It has SCVMM installed and has until yesterday worked
flawlessly.

We have two Broadcom GB NIC on it and as part the final setup I wanted to
split off the VMM Traffic onto one NIC and the other TCP and file and Print
Network Traffic onto the first NIC.

For the first part of the changeover I enabled the second NIC and rebound
the Test VM onto the second NIC with all protocols. This succeded so I then
unbound VM Network Services on NIC 1 and everything but VM Network Services
on NIC 2. This failed to work and all attempt to revert to our original
configuration with a single NIC are also failing, we can change back but the
Guest Network connectivity is broken for all VM's running on this host.
Everything appears to be working for the host itself, the Virtual Server
Host has full connectivity, and all connections into the guest are correctly
configured. The Virtual machine has a properly configured static IP address
but when we try to ping the Subnet gateway, the ping times out. The sniffer
shows no traffic hitting the wire outside the Virtual Server. The Host shows
no sign of network traffic going out either. the Guest O/S can ping itself on
its IP address and also 127.0.0.1 but nothing outside that including the IP
of the Host Virtual Server.

I've tried removing and adding the VM Network service from NIC1 without
success.

I migrated the Virtual Machine over to a different Virtual where it spun up
properly with network connectivity. I also migrated a test VM onto the broken
Host and it too had no network connectivity on this Host.

Has anyone seen such a problem and if so how does one fix it?

Thanks
Phil
