I created my virtual servers on a host windows 2003 server running MS VS 2005
RC2 SP1. I upgraded the host to Windows 2008 with hyper-v and moved the
Virtual server to hyper-v. I had problems with double take licensing. They
said they wouldn't license hyper-v yet and advise that I move back to MS VS
2005. So I uninstalled Hyper-v components from the Virtual servers and then
removed Hyper-v from the host windows 2008 server. I installed MS VS 2005 on
the host server and now am unable to start my virtual servers. Well, they
start, but hang during startup. I created new ".vmc" files for them. Any
ideas on how to fix this problem?

There is a HAL change that happens when you install the Integration Agents
on the child server in Hyper-V. That could be causing your problem. To get
back to VS 2005 R2 you may have to do a Virtual to Virtual migration with a
utility like SCVMM 2007 or VSMT.
