network drive resharing?

Is there a utility (ms or third party) that will let me re-share a mapped
network drive?

I have a 2008 server and I want to use that as my primary file server so
that data files aren't stuck inside VHD files.

However, I need those files to be shared by the virtual machines running on
the 2008 server.

When I'm in the Virtual machine, I can map a network drive back to the 2008
box, but I can't share that from the virtual.

Is there any known utility that will do this?

Is there an Iscsi server app that will take a folder on 2008 and publish it
so that I can mount it in my virtual using the included iscsi client?
