VLAN on Host

Source: microsoft.public.virtualserver

Message:

Hello,

I would like to 'attach' a VLAN interface as the primary 'virtual
network adaptor' for a virtual machine that I am creating using Virtual
Server 2005 R2 SP1. The host system utilizes Intel PRO/1000 EB Network
Interfaces.

On the host system, I create a VLAN interface called 'TestLAN'.
However, when I create the new virtual machine, (under the Virtual network
adaptor drop-down menu), I only see the physical network interfaces, not the
virtual (VLAN) interfaces (I would like to use the virtual interface named
'TestLAN').

I have four options available to me as my network adapter. These
options are: Not connected / External Network (Intel pro.......) #2 /
External Network (Intel...) #1 / Internal Network

I have been digging around looking for more information on this. I've
looked in Google groups and apparently there are a number of people that
have this successfully working. When I create my VLAN interfaces on the
host system, they do appear in the Network Connections window as available
interfaces.

Any input on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
