SP1 and Strange Issue

I have installed VS 2005 R2 ( On XP SP2) and then installed VS SP1 the same
day....after which migrated over a few Virtual PC 2007 systems to the Virtual
server...all was working well yesterday....today I had booted the computer up
and could not get VS 2005 to run, nor was the services listed any longer.

Uninstalled / reinstalled...etc...VS R2 will work....but now when I try to
install SP1 for VS ...the install goes almost to the end....but then
stops...Rolls Back....and uninstalls everything to where there is no VS R2
installed........After this I have to reinstall JUST VS R2....and now have to
forget about the SP1 .....

Anyone experiencing issues with SP1 ?
