208.1q Network Setup

Message:

This was probably not the best project for my first, but I need some
software only available on Fedora. Anyway, I have a MS 2003 Server R2 host
with a Marvell 1G Network card and the Marvell software to allow access to
VLANs on a 802.1q trunk coming from a Cisco 3548 switch. The MS 2003 Server
host recognizes all the configured VLANs and everything works great on the
host machine.

Fedora Core 5 installed easily into a Virtual Machine (remembering to turn
down the color depth during install). However, I could only ping the host
machine on VLAN 1. I could not access the Network.

I turned on VLAN's in Fedora and configured a VLAN 4, giving me two VLAN's
(I need two for the application). I can still only ping the host machine
and only on VLAN 1.

The only thing that I've noticed is that both the host and virtual machine
are showing the same MAC address for the network interface. I don't know if
that is the way it is supposed to be, but it seems a likely problem to me.
I have Dynamic selected for providing a MAC address to the virtual machine.
Has anyone done something similar or have any suggestions?
