640x480 Screen Resolution Problems

I have an app I am running in a WIN2K machine. The application needs to run
in 640x480 resolution, full screen.

I am having a terrible time getting the VM to go into 640x480. The only way
I have been able to get it work in a somewhat consistant basis is to drop the
host screen resolution down to 800x600 (from the current 1280x1024). Then it
might take 3-4 trys to get the resolution to 'take'.

What I am getting is the VM stays at the host resolution no matter what I
do. Trying to change the VM resolution seems to just flash and stay at the
same resolution.

Suggestions?

In the Display settings for the VM, you should set it to "Use guest
system screen resolution". (and select "Always start this virtual
machine in full screen mode")
