How to synchronise the VM

Hi all,

I am working at work place as well as at home. I would like to carry on my
on the virtual machine once I left the work over weekends. My question is how
can I synchronise the VM so that I have some work and configuration in two
different computer.

If I give you an example regarding my problem then:
I install VM with OS and software to my work PC but I ha a copy of that VM
to put in my home PC. Once I do some work on VM at work then I need
synchronise my VM at home so that both have some work. I actually would like
to work with same VM in two different PC. Is that possible? If so what is the
most efficient way to sync both machines.

I will be copying VM then sometime 10 times in a week between my home PC and
work PC. If I do some work on my work pc then copy it on USB stick then copy
to home PC on after leaving work on Monday and again do some work. I will
copy then my VM from home PC to work PC on Tuesday morning and once finished
work repeat the some cycle above.

Did I get that right?

Virtual PC is just an application, a piece of software like Excel or Word.
If you had an Excel spreadsheet which you used at work and also wanted to

So,

1) Copy the virtual machine's virtual hard disk to a USB stick

2) Copy it onto your home computer.

3) On your home computer, create a new virtual machine and configure it to

Now you can use the same virtual hard disk at work and at home.

Keep in mind that WD Passports are 5400rpm drives on a relatively slow
USB chip, if you care about performance, go for a 7200rpm based external
drive with eSATA+USB, assuming you have at least one location with
eSATA, the difference is staggering.
