Message:Don't think that there are many people here who have that configuration. DOS
(16 bit, extended DOS application) VMs (32 bit VPCs) run on a WinXP 32 bit
computer, so I would guess that there is no reason for your configuration not
to work. For me the problem with a 64 bit computer are hardware drivers. Any
one out there who has tried Sang_03's configuration?
In any case, you need your own copy of DOS for the VM.

If you DOS app doesn't need specific hardware, then yes, it's likely
it will run fine.
And yes, you will need to install DOS in a virtual machine in VPC for
it to work.

Almost certainly.
Yes, just like on a physical computer - there is no difference as far as
software is concerned...

Message:Yes, I set up a DOS VM using FreeDos the other day. Wanted to see how well
some old DOS games worked compared with running them in a Win98 VM. Would
rather have used MSDOS but there's no floppy drive in this computer to
install it from.
Performance of the games was so-so at best and window size defaults to a
tiny 640x480 box. Full screen is not a good alternative on a widescreen
monitor. Might have been okay on TV but didn't get around to trying it.
