Compare two VPC configurations

Does anybody know of a tool that would allow you to compare two
different VPC configurations? We have two (supposedly) identicle VPCs
running a dev and QA version of our application. However, on the QA
VPC we get numerous issues/errors that are not seen on the dev box.
After much monitoring, logging, etc., I have determined that the cause
must lay within some difference in the environments.

I know that I have used a tool that did something similar for server
configurations. It gave me all installed software, services, etc.
Pointed-out differences in versions, file structure, settings, etc.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

that the error is being thrown from a .NET TransactionScope object.
However, the stack has no accompanying information other than "Error
"" has been thrown". Not real helpful.

As for using the vmc file for help. I think that would be pretty
limited. I don't believe that has information such as installed
software, versions, registry entries, etc. does it?

And both VPC are hosted on identical (purchased at the same time with
the same config from Dell) servers.

Since you're asking for help in a technical newsgroup, it would have been
*really* helpful to the regulars in here if you'd actually said what those
issues and errors are. Simply saying that you "get errors" doesn't tell
anybody anything...

The way to compare two different virtual PCs is exactly the same as the
method of comparing two different physical PCs, whatever that is...

Nothing whatsoever to do with Virtual PC per se...
