Small window in DOS program

I have Windows 98 working on MS Virtual PC 2007. There is a problem with
displaying DOS program properly.

Actually, when I start this program in fullscreen mode (or maximize it from
a window - no difference) it is displayed only in a small window (app. 10x5cm
on the 17" screen) while the rest of the screen is black.
Any suggestion how to make it make it work fullscreen mode properly?

Not sure if it is win98 or win95, but you can try "exit (win98) to DOS".

I've been having the same problem. I have an XP Pro host with a Windows 2000 guest. Running a DOS program in the guest gives me a 3 x 5 DOS window against a black background. Adjusting DOS window properties makes no difference. I've run the DOS program before on a regular Windows 2000 machine - no problems. The DOS program also runs full screen on the host. Any ideas??
