Activation and testing backup procedure.

I am testing my backup system and have installed my working XP onto a VPC2007
environment on another PC.

Windows wants activation. If I activate will I cause problems for my
"working XP".
Same question applies for OFFICE - oh actually office will not work at all
without activation - I think, but not 100% sure - too late at night.

OK I know I can re-install onto VPC and get another 3 days but I'd rather
spend my time tesing the new environment.

Microsoft treats virtual machines as the same as physical machines when it
comes to licensing. Apart from a few exceptions, your XP EULA does not
permit you to install the software that it covers on more than one machine
simultaneously.

Same answer applies to Office.
