Creating a new server with VirtualServer

Hello

I have recently bought an HP ProLiant "baby" server - 160Gb SATA drive, no
SCSI discs or RAID. Into this I have added 2 x 500Gb SATA drives and then
installed and patched Windows 2003 Enterprise to Service Pack 2. However, as
things currently stand, I have NOT as yet built up a Domain.

I want to create two virtual servers, one of which would be the Domain
Controller whilst the other was a SQL Server. Since the actual reported size
of the two 500Gb discs is coming back as 465Gb apiece, I'm thinking that the
"boot" volumes of these two servers could be set up at 65Gb each, with the
remaining 800Gb being used for data storage and possibly a desktop image.

The problem that I have is that it isn't possible to boot my host server
directly from the Windows 2003 installation media, since the machine only
seems to boot directly from the HP Utilities disc that it came with, which
then leads you through various questions about the OS that you're planning to
install. The problem that I have is that if I try to boot the virtual server
from this disc, it gets so far into the initial HP setup process and then
freezes.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Should I be booting the virtual
partition from an ISO?
