VMAdditions For Linux

I am almost done in getting the VMAdditionsForLinux working for My Red
Hat Linux 9.

I got the video to work got the mouse to work and the last step is the
VMAdditionsForLinux-

The README. says to Start the vmadd service,

# /etc/init.d/vmadd start.

With this command, I got the "-bash: vmadd: command not found".

SO I search the internet and suggestions was to use the command line
../vmadd-install.run all:

"-bash: vmadd: no such file or directory".

The files on the ISO are

install.sh
vmadd-full-2.0-1.i386.rpm
vmadd-full-RHEL-2.0-1.i386.rpm
vmadd-heartbeat-2.0-1.i386.rpm
vmadd-kernel-module-2.0-1.i386.rpm
vmadd-kernel-module-RHEL-2.0-1.i386.rpm
vmadd-scsi-2.0-1.i386.rpm
vmadd-shutdown-2.0-1.i386.rpm
vmadd-timesync-2.0-1.i386.rpm
vmadd-x11-2.0-1.i386.rpm

I am stuck. What can be wrong. What else need to be done.

I haven't done the vmadditions for Linux at all myself, but given the
files you listed

../install.sh

would probably be the command to get things started and hopefully it
will guide you from there.

the vmadd start of course wouldn't work because it's not installed
yet, and the other command problem is that there isn't a command like
that there, maybe it also gets installed when you install everything
else.
