Without VM Additions installed I am able to select up to 1024x768 with 32bit
color. After VM Additions are installed I only have 800x600 with 4bit color
available.

Any ideas?

Virtual PC 6.0.192.0 running on Vista Business SP1.
Host PC - Dell Latitude D620 Centrino Duo w/2GB

I was wondering if that might be an issue. I am currently working through
the Windows Updates toward an SP2 upgrade and will advise if that resolves
the issue.

You might need SP2 or SP3 for XP with that version of additions
installed, though I'm not sure, I haven't run into that problem. It
