Firstly, there are no Linux Additions for Virtual PC.

Microsoft has released Linux Additions for Virtual Server for a handful of
distros only, but Ubuntu isn't one of them.

There have been some threads here where people have suggested methods for
installing the Virtual Server Additions on Ubuntu, but this is totally
unsupported...

That's right - see my original reply to Mac - there are no Linux Additions
for Virtual PC, though the Virtual Server Additions can sometimes be
persuaded to install and function.

The reality is that people run virtual whatever things in unsupported ways
all of the time. If you aren't running something in production, it's not a
big deal. Virtual Server runs just fine on Vista and XP. Virtual Server
additions work in VPC. VPC additions work in Virtual Server. Often they are
exactly the same. The general rule is, whether you are using Virtual Server
or VPC in a non-production environment, use the latest additions, whether
they are for Virtual Server or VPC. If you're just messing around, don't be
afraid to experiment. You may end up with better results.
