VPC shows only 4MB RAM, and I"m unable to install W2K

Hi,

I have Windows Vista Business installed on a Dell PC with 512MB RAM. I
installed VPC 2007, then using the VPC wizard, created a new virtual machine,
selected Windows 2000 as the OS. VPS suggested 128MB RAM and 16384MD HDD, I
accepted those and it created the VPC.

The VPC will not see my Windows 2000 Pro CD. It comes back with an ATAPI
incompatible error, not sure why. So I made an .ISO image of my W2K CD,
placed it on the Vista system running VPC.

When I start the VPC, I successfully capture the image, reboot the VPC, and
it starts booting from the ISO image.

I get the "Setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration"
message, then the "Press F6 if you need to install...".

Once that message flashes by, things stop. I'm left with a blue screen with
nothing but "Windows 2000 Setup".

One thing strange - memory. When the VPC boots, it shows only 4MB RAM. I
use Del key to go into the VPC's BIOS, and all it shows is 4MB.

When I look at the Settings button on VPC, it shows 0MB (zero), and I am
unable to move the slider. If I enter a value, it resets to 0.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
