How to copy protect Virtual PC"s

Hello,

For security and licensing reasons we try to prevent that our users copy
their virtual pc's to other media's (for example USB flash memory, portable
hard disk).

Is their any copy protection method for that ?

For the moment the virtual pc's we give to our users are installed on an
external hard disk.
We do not want them to copy the virtual pc to antoher hard disk.

content, provided we could keep those files into a secure folder with proper
permission configuration others without authorities could not be able to
access the systems nor copy them out to external media.

Our department also has your concern so we put those files into our Win2003
file server's controlled folder. Only IT authorized personnels could access
the folder content and, the more important point, there is audit trail we
configured to record down who had access the folder content thus we can
prevent any unauthorized access to our VPCs.

Thanks for your reply.

You answer is indeed right. However it isn't wat i'm looking for.

I will try to explain it differently:

We want to provide our users an external hard drive (ultra mobile and
compact) with the VPC files on it.
That way they kan use their virtual environment at the office, and when
abroad or at home.
However, we do not want them to be able to copy those files on another media
or hard drive.
This to prevent that if they should leave the company (eg. being fired) and
they must return the hard drive, that they are not having a copy of their VPC.

Any advice ?
