Connecting virt. pc with physical pc when virt. pc is disconnected

Hello.

Is it possibile to connect wirtual pc with physical pc, which virtual pc
runs on even if the physical pc is disconnected from the network - Win XP.

When the physical pc is disconnected, regardless the alternative TCP/IP
configuration is set (IP is set to some value), every ping on physical name
returns localhost address (127.0.0.1). Every tries to request the physical pc
from virt. pc (and opposit) fails.

How should I use some IP except of localhost IP in disconnected mode on XP?
- I think this is the basic problem of creating connection between physical
and virtal pc.
